Per the Hardin County Appraisal District (CAD), 5,218 protests were filed in 2023. The total value of those protests was $2 billion. Through Appraisal Review Board (ARB) hearings, 2,040 protests were filed. The ARB is one step further in the protest process for a fair chance at a reduction. Through ARB hearings, a reduction of $245 million was achieved.
